Frequently asked questions

Quick answers for parents, caregivers, and providers who want to understand how DP4 supports personalized social stories, visual schedules, and home practice during beta.

What does DP4 do?

DP4 helps parents create personalized social stories and visual supports for real-life moments like transitions, bedtime, school routines, safety skills, big feelings, and therapy carryover.

You share what your child is working through, and DP4 helps turn it into a story or visual tool you can practice at home.

Who is DP4 for?
DP4 is designed for parents and caregivers of autistic children, especially families who want more practical support between therapy sessions, school meetings, or daily routines. It can also be useful for providers who want families to have clearer carryover tools at home.
Is DP4 in beta?
Yes. DP4 is currently in beta, which means early users are getting access while we continue improving the experience, adding tools, and learning what families need most.
What are social stories?
Social stories are short, clear stories that help a child understand what to expect, what they can do, and how to practice a skill in a specific situation. They are often used for routines, transitions, safety, school, social situations, and emotional regulation.
How do social stories help children with autism?
Social stories can make abstract expectations more concrete. They give children a visual and predictable way to prepare for what is coming, practice language around a situation, and understand the next step before they are already overwhelmed.
Can DP4 create personalized social stories?
Yes. DP4 is built to create personalized social stories based on your child’s real-life situation, goals, reading level, and interests.
What are visual schedules?
Visual schedules show the order of events using pictures, words, or both. They can help children see what is happening now, what comes next, and when a routine will be finished.
What are communication cards?
Communication cards are visual cards a child can use to express a need, feeling, choice, or request. They can be helpful when spoken language is hard, delayed, or unavailable in the moment.
What are first-then boards?
First-then boards show a simple sequence: first one activity, then the next. They can help make expectations clearer during transitions, routines, or tasks a child may not want to start.
How is DP4 different from generic autism printables?
Generic printables can be helpful, but they often do not match your child’s exact routine, interests, reading level, or current goal. DP4 is designed to make support more specific to your child and the situation happening in your home, school, or community.
Can DP4 help with therapy carryover at home?
DP4 is designed to support carryover by turning skills and everyday goals into stories and visual tools families can actually use at home. It does not replace therapy, but it can help parents practice skills between sessions in a more concrete, visual way.
Does DP4 replace ABA, speech therapy, OT, or school supports?
No. DP4 does not replace therapy, medical advice, school services, an IEP, or professional support. It is a home-practice tool meant to help families reinforce skills, prepare for routines, and make daily expectations easier to understand.
Can I use DP4 for transitions, bedtime, safety, and big feelings?
Yes. DP4 can be used for transitions, bedtime, school mornings, community outings, safety skills, emotional regulation, waiting, asking for help, trying new routines, and other everyday moments where a child may benefit from visual preparation and practice.
Do you sell children’s data?
No. DP4 does not sell children’s data. The goal is to give families useful, personalized support while treating child and family information with care.
Do children need their own DP4 account?
No. DP4 is designed for adult-managed use. Parents and caregivers create and manage the experience for their child.
How much does DP4 cost after the free month?
Plans start at $14.99/month after the first free month. Early access users can try DP4 during beta and decide whether it is useful for their family before continuing.
